1 Day Print and Build Parameters

Some friends were asking me, just what is a 1 day print and build. Simply put, it’s something that I can print on a day off from work, cleanup, assemble, paint, and display in 24 hours. That being said, there’s some parameters I’ll use when determining just what is eligible for a 1 day print and build project. These parameters are as follows:

Must consist of at least 2 pieces, the more the better for detail sake.
Must be able to be completely printed and assembled in 1 day.
Must be something fun and sci-fi related.

When deciding the print time I think it best to count the 8 hours I am at work most nights. In most cases I will start a print before I leave for work and when I get home it will be ready to pull off the bed. That leaves 16 hours for a nap, cleanup ( of me and the project ), assembly, painting, and pics. I am going to try my hardest to focus and make these projects a weekly feature on the site simply because it gives me something to do, it will help bolster my collection of props, and might even help others out by showing off their 3D Models and helping others to locate some models they may want. For now I am going to try and complete 1 each week and post it on the site. Some of the models, such as the Classic Sonic Screwdriver, will have multiple uses so in reality it could be more than 1 prop being printed and built in a day.
