Just the other day I opened up a package containing the Defiance 1213 1/2, the magical mystical plane that is not mentioned in any documentation or catalog save for collectors pages and info. This acquisition completed the collection of Defiance hand planes, that’s right, now I have a full set.
So what does this mean ??? It means now I will pick another section to focus on. Since I have decided to broaden my scope of collecting to more than just the Defiance planes and also include the entire Defiance line of tools. There is also the Eclipse line, but thinking about it I might have all those planes as well… really need to get out in the shop and organize things more.
Once I have the Defiance planes all cleaned up and presentable I will get some pics of each plane as well as a group photo.
