Tardis Bookshelf – Updated

With my collection of Doctor Who items growing my wife and I embarked on a rather quick project to build a shelf to put in the living room so I could display everything on. First stop was Home Depot to pick up some lumber, MDF, and paint. All said and done the project cost around $120.00 and it’s not quite complete because I want to make a cap for the top that will have the “Police Box” signage and an actual functioning light at the top which will serve as a night light so we won’t have to trip over the black dog in the middle of the night. It was a 2 day build simply because we had to go out of town for a Doctor’s appointment and then Golden Corral for dinner. All said and done, it was fun, works great, and is sturdy as hell. So that’s it in a nutshell, since I took those pics the other day we’ve added even more stuff to the collection and it’s growing by leaps and bounds with each road trip we take chasing down the sparse collectibles in the area. The small gold hooks across the one shelf are for hanging the different Tardis keys on and they’ll be finished up here shortly, I’m 3D printing them for now until I can score some real ones. UPDATED 8/31/2017 The shelf is awesome and we’re continuing to print and purchase props and collectibles to display on it.
