“Those will never print” and other myths…

Many of you who know me, also know that you can’t tell me something can’t be done because I will in turn do it just for the challenge or to prove you wrong.

Earlier this week or the end of last week, I forget, I was told that some miniatures I had designed in Daz|Studio and Blender wouldn’t print because there were thin spots and the barrels of the guns were too thin to print… check this out nippleheads:

I didn’t feel like busting out the head lamp to paint these but as you can see, they printed out just fine and are about 20mm in scale. I didn’t really want to put a whole lot of time on these as it was more for shits and giggles to prove people wrong in the group I got kicked out of. These by the way were the minis in question about “game rips”.

So here’s my question… if game rips don’t print right, how come these came out so well ??? It’s because they aren’t game rips you motards !!!

You will also notice that these aren’t potato men or “heroic scale” as the majority of people in that group said I have to print them in or they won’t turn out. Wrong again motards !!! I’ve spent a LOT of time learning how to get these minis to print and how to add the supports to produce the best possible print. I use the latest models with the best geometry possible without killing my computers and take the time to do the post work needed to the models themselves. So to you that say I have to create potato men, how about you adjust your printer settings so that nobody has to make potato men ??? It’s really easy to do and you can even save it as a special profile in most slicers.

Here’s some more items in the miniatures category that aren’t game rips either:

Can’t wait to sit down and paint my “Hello Exterminatus” 40k themed objective marker. You can also see some stands of VDV I made a while back as well as some helicopters, Team Yankee objectives and yeah. Not a single potato figure in the lot.
