His and Hers HALO Reach ODST Armor
Following the tutorials by the awesome Andrew DFT which you can get the templates here:

How to: Halo Reach Costume ( Part 1: Helmet )
I want to say I used a total of 3 packs of EVA foam for both suits with plenty left over for pouches and stuff. So all said and done I have around $30 tied up in the foam which we got on sale at Harbor Freight, blades, and glue sticks.
Her suit was completed as part of a 2 day “focus” and speed build, trying to demonstrate that I can in fact focus on one project and see it to completion without getting distracted.
Mine took a bit longer as I was in fact distracted by several other projects ( only because they were paying me to do them so does it really count ? )
Once we finished the tutorials all of the pieces were dropped off at a semi-local body shop to be coated and sealed with the incredible Line-X. If you haven’t seen what this stuff is all about you need to get on YouTube and look it up. This gave the armor a different finish than typically seen and which we actually liked.
After we got the pieces back it was time to paint them all. We used Krylon ColorMaxx paints on both suits combined with some hand painting on details. All said and done, the suits look great and fit nicely.
Helmets are in the process of being printed and finished. Now that I am using XTC 3D for my prints things won’t take so long to get completed.
